Prime Focus' Broadcast VFX division is one of the most respected in the business. Led by award-winning Creative Director Simon Clarke and MD Parvinder Bhatia, the London-based team creates high end visual effects for leading Broadcast and Live Event clients.
The team mainly focuses on high profile factual productions and is often tasked with coming up with new ways to create highly scientific or technical processes as photo real CGI to appeal to a mass audience.
Recent broadcast projects include 'Wonders of the Solar System', ‘'How Earth Made Us', 'City Beneath the Waves: Pavlopetri', 'Finding Life Beyond Earth' and 'Stone Age Atlantis'. They have also delivered eye-catching sequences for audience events such as the stereoscopic 3D finale for the Dr Who Experience and a visual installation depicting the Northern Lights at Oslo’s Fram Museum.
Being part of the Prime Focus group means that talent and infrastructure can be shared across its international network of facilities, specifically with the Film VFX divisions in North America and India. The Broadcast VFX team also work closely with the Broadcast division to offer seamless sharing of data between VFX and post and provide producers with the opportunity to centralise their VFX and post production work with one company.
