Conventional wisdom dictates that cancer is not a contagious condition. However, in this poignant and revealing new documentary for Leopard Films and BBC Three as part of BBC Three's Dangerous Pleasures season, Jamie Winstone investigates the rare and relatively unknown strain of mouth cancer known as orophyrangeal cancer caused by the sexually transmitted Human Papillomavirus (HPV). As we accompany her on a journey of personal discovery, Jamie unearths new research indicating the dramatic rise in HPV-related oral cancers amongst young people, and asks the question: "Is Oral Sex Safe?" Prime Focus posted the programme, supplying online, grade and audio services.
Dan Tagoe was the project's colourist and online editor, whilst Phitz Hearne provided audio duties. The programme was post produced by Paul Richman.
